You were asking, now you know. It was a tough choice with bailout and "Joe the Plumber", the "R" word (recession)and the longest presidential election ever! No I don't want to talk about 012! But change was used by both presidential candidates over and over during the campaign.
Great job Meagan!
My first word for 09 is Stimulus.

Although I do agree that there should be some degree of government involvement, I do not think that Obamas stimulus package is the answer. His tax credit seems like a good idea, but I dont think it will do much good. The credit itself will come from the government. The government gets their money, well the majority of it, from the top ten percent of America. This just seems like more speading of the wealth to me. Also, from what I saw on CNN, yes CNN, it said that this package could swell to cost us 1.2 trillion dollars. That over double what our deficit was last year. Something may need to be done, but I dont think that this is the solution.
:D
I'm so proud of myself.
My prediction for the word of '09 would be "inflation".
Inflation tells me the economy is doing great and I hope it does--to an extent. If the economy were to quickly bounce back with high inflation, there will be many drawbacks.
A high accumulation of inflation will definitely be a top priority of government officials, that's if my prediction comes true.
To clarify my prediction, the priority of the government officials will be to cut down on excess inflation.
