Is Timothy Geithner the right person for Treasury Secretary?
Should a man who failed to pay some of his own taxes be disqualified from a job that includes overseeing our tax code? I heard it was an "honest mistake."
To Geithner's defense, many people mess up on their tax returns--they're complicated. He's only human so you can't expect him to do everything perfectly. One more thing, he messed up on a little more than tens of thousand of dollars, he paid off penalties and back-taxes of over $40,000. Give him a chance. He messed up, but he paid the price. You learn from your mistakes, so he's okay for the j-o-b to me.

I think that he just made a mistake. I mean should one mistake ruin his life? no. Everyone makes mistakes so he should be given a chance.
