Go Sooners!

I hope Oklahoma wins tonight. I can't wait until our "emperor-in-waiting" is inaugurated and pushes for an eight-team post-season playoff. Go OU!

Why didn't Penn State win the "national championship" in 1969? Joe Paterno's team had just finished the season undefeated for the second straight year!!!!

Why was the winner of the Texas/Arkansas game to be the "National Champions?"
What did Richard Nixon have to do with it? We'll talk tomorrow!

Think electoral "swing states."

GO BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Christine, it does involve government. Nixon played part in the 1969 "national championship" in order to gain some votes in the then swing states Texas and Arkansas. As for Joe Paterno, his team may have won all of thier games, but who you play is a big part of were you end up at the end of the season. I don't like it that way but hey, thats the way it is. Penn state has suffered from that rule for awhile, as you can see. As for the "emperor" comment, I think its a good idea for Obama to push for a new playoff, as long as it doesnt take away time needed for more important things.

And yes GO BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
