Out of Iraq by 2010?

President Obama told congressional leaders Thursday he's planning to pull all combat troups out of Iraq by August 2010. The plan would keep 35,000 to 50,000 as support troops in Iraq after the combat troops are out.

Should the troops be reduced by 2010? What do you think will happen when the troops leave? How long do you think the support troops will be in Iraq?

For one i believe this is a crazy idea to do this and i think it is a real risk. But obviously obama sees something we dont. Personally even though its crazy i think it could be good. Thats what iraq wants is for us to pull out. I think the troops that are still there after aug. 31, 2010 will be there awhile longer. we cant afford to just pull everyone out! we have to keep some stabilization. Im curious to see how this works. I hope its the right decision.

i think after all the combat troops are removed the bad guys will just start killing the support troops that are still there. this is stupid and i think its gonna backfire. i dont really trust anything obama does and i definitely dont trust that this decision is a good one. after the support troops start getting killed they are just gonna get pulled out of Iraq and we will let Iraq help themselves. this is just the first of many bad decisions to come by obama trust me.

I don't see this working out either, but we have to get out of there sometime. I believe once the combat troops are out, the support will maintain order temporarily until they are either taken out prematurely or the more likely, forced out.

i dont beleive that this is gonna work out at all. why pull out right now when we are so close. its debatable on how close i know. but it just seems rediculous to reduce our involvement. everything we worked for and those people died for would be for nothing
