Mumbai, India - Is terrorism Evolving?

India has blamed "elements from Pakistan" for the attacks that killed 179 people in Mumbai. Should the Indian government expect strong reaction to be taken against those responsible for the attacks? Could this attack have been prevented?

I dont think it could've been prevented because they didnt know it was coming, but i think the government should take action because of it. They need to protect themselves and stick up for their people.

I believe this attack could have been prevented but since the indian government is so weak i dont think they could do anything about it anyway. I dont know what they are going to do but they seriously need to take action before it gets out of hand.

The Indian government better expect a reaction from blaming responsibility of the attacks on Pakistan. When Pakistan's pissed, someone's gonna get killed. Who is actually responsible is still being speculated. That being said, the attack could hardly have been prevented. Now, the bottom line is that India needs beef up their national defense or suffer the consequences of the "elements".

Maybe Pakistan should take a hint. The entire world doesn't just randomly blame a country for terrorism and nuclear bombs for fun. So i do believe that pakistan had part even if it wasn't the direct gov. And i don't know if the attack could've altogether beeen prevented but i'm sure india could defineateyl improve on their national security. And they should expect a strong reaction.

Ok this is a scary situation. I don't know if anyone truly realizes how bad this could be. 2 of the top ten militaries in the world could be going at it soon. Thats bad, considering that WWI was caused by a similar attack between two rival countries. Could this attack have been prevented? I don't think so. Like us on 9/11, India was caught with their pants down, and payed for it,(just not as bad as us, by no means). I don't think we should police the world, but two nuclear powers on the brink of war spells disaster, and should be dealt with.

i believe that this is a issue that we need to look into. it does show sgns of an increase in military hostility in the future. so we should keep an eye on it. but this attac was unexpected so its hard to say that it could have been prevented. i dot believe that it could have.
