Ted Stevens is found guilty. Will he serve time in the Senate or in prison?

A jury found Sen. Ted Stevens of Alaska guilty on all seven counts of making false statements on disclosure forms. Should he step down or appeal his case? Stay tune to his debate on Wednesday. I wonder what the "maverick" wants?

First off, the guy is 85! At sometime you just have to retire! But on the political note, he is a former attorney. There is no way that he did not know he was breaking the law. If a politician breaks the law, especially one like false statements (by the way isnt that stealing?)Should not be allowed in the Senate. Oh and I just checked, he was found guilty of 7 felony charges. He is a FELON or soon to be one im sure. Hey, felons cant even vote! Should this guy get a break? I dont think so.

He should step down. He's a felon. It's not like he would be allowed to be a current senator in prison. I think if he doesn't step down, there will be some form of an interim to replace him while he's in prison.

He should step down because he is most likely guilty so he did something wrong besides hes old and should retire and live out his life happily.
