Inauguration Day's Unemployed

January 20, 2009 a new president will be inaugurated. Along with this new president, will come new cabinet members. That same day, George W. Bush will be done, so will his cabinet. In the days after that they will become unemployed citizens. An article on Condoleezza Rice's possible new job as team president for an NFL franchise, the San Fransisco 49ers, sparked my question. (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/rumors/post/Condoleezza-Rice-up-for-front-office-position-wi;_ylt=AvGh6GU9wy6YXNs6TXbBq0.X2bYF?urn=nfl,117401) Where do you think these the soon-to-be-unemployed political figures will end up?

All of these politicians have been funded by big cooperations their whole political careers so they will back legislature that favors big cooperations. Now that they aren't going to be high powered cabinet memebers anymore they'll get some spot on the board of trustees or something for one of these cooperations.

p.s. If the 49ers get condoleezza to be their president she'll end up like matt millen

Most politicians have college degrees and such. All had a plan before Bush and Im sure they will just go back to whatever it was they were doing before the were assigned to their position. We dont have to worry about the politicians, they will find a way.

I would not be suprised at all if Condoleezza Rice joined the 49ers. She has always been a football fan. I remember when Paul Tagliabue retired from being NFL commishioner. Some people rumored then that she should take over. She will have no trouble getting a job. Neither should the rest pf the cabinet. They are all qualified and educated. I imagine having "presidential cabinet member" on your resume will have a great deal of pull.

Personally i think Bush should just stay at home and enjoy the rest of his life unemployed but as for the rest of these cabinet members and such, they will find jobs. Whether it's football or in a big corperation as a CEo, or even going back to some of their roots and opening a law firm they will be fine. They already have money anyways so if they wanted to they could stay at home.

Why should Bush stay unemployed? He is not that old.

I feel that no one will want to work with Bush so he will be out of work. Ok probably not he will go around making speeches like Clinton does.
