Photographing America's War Dead

Defense Secretary Robert Gates said it will now be up to families of the dead to decide whether media outlets can photograph the caskets.

Do you agree with the change of policy?

Do you think we should have a military draft? If so, should it include women?

Did you know that 7.3 million Americans are serving time in our correctional system? According to CNN, they are either in jail, prison, on probation or on parole!

I agree with this policy change 100%. It was unconstitutional that the press couldn't publish photos of caskets.

Right now, I don't think a draft is necessary. Aren't we about to pull out our combat troops? Say there were to be a draft, I don't think women should be included. If they want to go into the military, they should enlist.

I didn't know there were 7.3 million serving the correctional system. That number sounds a bit high, but I can believe it.

Yeah i agree with the new policy about the caskets. That is a private matter that families should have the option whethter it gets in the press.
There is no reason to have a draft. It is pointless to have draft when we are pulling out. But if there is one i believe women should have the choice, not be forced to go!

o ya its a good policy. i beleive that its unconstitutional for that kinda action before.

i beleive that a draft would be a good thing right now. its time to get this thing over with and obamma needs to understand this. if he pulls out the troops there will be a huge era of unemployment coming to america

I absolutely 100% agree with the change of policy. These people obviously just lost a loved one and they probably dont want the media all over taking pictures of the caskets.

And i dont think there is a need for a draft, but if we were to have one, i really dont believe women should be included in it.
