Obama's First 50 Days

Today marks the first 50 days into the Barack Obama presidency. He has moved at a lightning pace,
by announcing the closing of the Guantanamo Bay detention center,
passing a $787 billion stimulus plan,
announcing financial rescue and housing plans,
disclosing a $3.55 trillion budget,
kick starting discussions on health care reform,
announcing a withdrawal plan from Iraq,
while increasing the number of troops in Afghanistan
and lifting some restrictions on federal funding for stem cell research.

What grade do you give President Obama after his first 50 days?

i would give Obama a B+ so far. he did what he said he would do with the stimulus and the housing and all of that good stuff. he hasnt done anything over the top amazing so far, but also hasnt really done anything that people have not approved of.

My biggest problem with Obama's first 50 days is the stimulus bill. It does't do enough in my book! I'm not saying more money, I'm saying spending that money in a smarter way. The one thing he has done that I do like is lifting the restrictions on stem cell research. So that does help.

Overall C- (and thats generous)

A-.

Obama has reacted fairly quickly and has put a great amount of effort in the work he's completed so far. Although I may not agree with what he proposes or does all the time, I do believe he's done well initiating the plans he believes will work, especially in this economy.

I still think it is to early to even grade him. I mean he still has some promises he wants to get done. I dont think we can grade him on the stimulus and the war alone, i think we should give it some time. I would say by the end of the year. But if i had to grade him i'd give him a B.
