What will it take to form a coalition?

What will it take to form a large enough coalition to pass a health care reform bill? Will moderate Republicans or conservative Democrats join in? Republican Senator Olymbia Snowe from Maine approved the bill in senate finance committee. Will she continue to support it? She is not in favor of a pubic option.

What provisions will likely be included in the final bill?

I do not see how it is possible for the two sides to come together. You have a great portion of politics that are on the far right as well as the far left. Those who are in the middle have been waffling back and forth yet they have never fully supported eithier side. If a bill passes it is most likely going to resemble the republicans public option.

Well already there are enough Democrats in Congress right now that support the bill. If they all voted for the current Bill then this would allow the Bill to be passed. As far as both parties agreeing on a Bill, I do not think it is at all possible. The Democrats will never agree to Tort Reform (doing away with wasteful medical malpractice lawsuits) and the Republicans will never agree to a Bill with Public Option. Many Democratic Congressman do not want to vote for the bill as elections are next year.

I have to agree that it's almost impossible for both parties to agree on one bill. Both sides are far too stubborn in what they want in the bill to allow for anything to be changed. On top of that, no Republican wants to be labeled in the next elections as The one who voted for the Health Care bill and no Democrat wants to be the one who voted against it.
